Claudia Gryvatz Copquin
Award-winning journalist and author
If you're browsing, welcome. If you're seeking a seasoned writer and researcher, let's talk...
I'm a journalist, author and blogger, in a freelance career spanning close to twenty years. It began when Newsday assigned me to write one business feature on an entrepreneur. That turned into a weekly three-year column, which then blossomed into parenting and lifestyle features for other sections of the newspaper. In conjunction, I also became a monthly op-ed contributor, a gig that lasted about three-and-a-half years. Since then, I've been published in The New York Times, Crain's NY Business, The Los Angeles Times, and a slew of magazines and newspapers.
I enjoy working on a broad range of projects. For instance, right now I'm writing a new retail blog/e-newsletter for the nation's premier floral company, 1-800-Flowers.com.
Here's what else I've been doing:
BOOKS:
Co-author of "The Bride's Year Ahead " published in the fall of 2011 by Sellers Publishing.
Co-author of "Fast Track Networking" published in the spring of 2010 by Career Press.
Author of "The Neighborhoods of Queens" published by Yale University Press in 2007.
